AEM 4210 - Futures, Options and Financial Derivatives


     
Spring. 3 credits. Letter grades only.

Prerequisite: AEM 2100 , AEM 2240  or equivalents. Recommended prerequisite: ECON 3030  or AEM 2600 /AEM 2601  or equivalent and a calculus course; familiarity with calculus and probability and statistics. Enrollment preference given to: Dyson students. Co-meets with AEM 6410 .

Covers the pricing of derivatives and how derivatives can be used for the purpose of risk management and speculation. A portion of this course involves the use of spreadsheet or other computer programs.
