Social science research increasingly relies on multiple analytic strategies to strengthen the evidence and to avoid possible pitfalls of any one method. This course will review a broad range of examples in mixed methods research including various combinations of statistical models of survey data, qualitative observations from fieldwork, computational models, experimental design, and data-driven discovery tools, such as, cluster analysis and topic modeling.
