NS 3030 - Nutrition, Health and Vegetarian Diets (CU-UGR) Spring. 3 credits. Student option grading.
Prerequisite: NS 1150 .

Course Goals: The three primary goals of this course are to present the scientific evidence concerning:
- the nutrient profile of a vegetarian dietary pattern
- the health effects of consuming vegetarian diets
- the biological characteristics of those who eat vegetarian diets.
Outcome 1: Demonstrate the ability to describe the experimental evidence concerning the characteristics and health impact of vegetarian diets to not only colleagues, but also lay/target audiences.
