ARCH 5903 - Design IX Expanded Design Thesis

(CU-UGR)

Fall, Spring. 6 credits. Multi-term course: R grade only (in progress).

Prerequisite: ARCH 4102 and approval of expanded thesis application. Students who carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 and minimum studio GPA of 3.8 are eligible to apply. Will satisfy the ARCH 5101 requirement for B.Arch. candidates who must satisfactorily complete a thesis. This is part of a multi-course sequence and will receive an “R” grade (in progress).

Staff.

The expanded design thesis is designed for undergraduate students who wish to pursue a yearlong investigation. The expanded thesis must include substantial research and the completed work should be of wider scope and greater depth than is normal for a one-semester thesis. The thesis topic should extend the student’s work already begun in a course or a sequence of courses taken before the fifth year.
