Including both case-based and hands-on practice, this mixed format course is designed to provide veterinary students with the imaging knowledge and interpretation skills necessary to succeed in large animal veterinary medicine. The course provides students with an understanding of all diagnostic modalities, with emphasis on radiography and ultrasonagraphy, organized by body regions. The imaging content is selected based on what is considered core material for the practicing veterinarian, including recognition of appropriateness of examination and modality. The course focuses on conditions affecting horses though as appropriate production animal imaging will be incorporated.
