HADM 6710 - Python Programming


     
Spring. 2 credits. Letter grades only (no audit).

Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will receive credit for only one course in the following group: AEM 2840 AEM 2841 , AEM 5840 , CS 1133 , HADM 3710.
Co-meets with HADM 3710 . Undergraduate students must enroll in HADM 3710 .

Introduction to programming in Python with an emphasis on Hospitality applications. No previous programming experience is required. Topics covered include programming basics, file input and output, Excel integration, database integration, and data analysis.

Outcome 1: Basic proficiency in programming.

Outcome 2: Basic proficiency in Python programming.

Outcome 3: The ability to create Python programs that can read from and write to files.

Outcome 4: The ability to create Python programs that integrate closely with Excel®.

Outcome 5: The ability to create Python programs that integrate closely with databases.

Outcome 6: The ability to create Python programs for analyzing data.
