This course focuses on the use of creative analytics for decision making and data reporting (including professional graphics for PowerPoint presentations) as a means of solving complex business problems.  Primary source material is derived from “big data” sets, as well as from sub-sets of human resource data bases.  The course is specifically designed to prepare students to take the Microsoft Specialist (MOS) Expert Excel Certification Test.  Expert certification requires knowledge of and application skills with respect to creating scenarios, managing and sharing multiple workbooks in order to combine and use data that is stored in various files, using the summarizing tool of complex pivot tables to aggregate data, creating styles and designing templates, and utilizing advanced functions such as LOOKUP and AVERAGEIFS.
