MAE 4291 - Supervised Senior Design Experience

Fall, spring. 1-4 credits, variable. Letter grades only.

Prerequisite or co-requisite: MAE 4300. Enrollment limited to: senior standing or permission of instructor. Credits determined by section chosen.

Substantial design experience based on the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier course work and incorporating engineering standards and realistic constraints. Sections of this course satisfy the BS ME senior design requirement. 1-credit sections are offered in conjunction with a course designated as “Senior Design Elective” (MAE 4020, MAE 4140, MAE 4230, MAE 4640, MAE 4700, MAE 4860). 3-credit sections are directed by a faculty member as an individual or a team design exercise.
