Shiatsu is a form of Japanese massage and bodywork based on pressure points and Eastern Medicine. This is an introductory course and students will learn the basic Shiatsu techniques, potent acupressure points, and explore Ki/Qi and, the vital energy that flows through the 12 major energy channels in our body. Shiatsu helps revitalize and balance energy and is an excellent tool for self-care. Makko Ho Shiatsu stretches, basic concepts of Yin and Yang, and how the Five Elements manifest in our body will be introduced.
Shiatsu is deeply relaxing and invigorating at the same time. It is practiced fully clothed on the floor mat. Wear loose and comfortable clothes for the class.
