AEM 5290 - International Financial Management Spring. 3 credits. Letter grades only (no audit).
Prerequisite: coursework in introductory statistics and introductory finance. Co-meets with AEM 4290 .

This course presents the principles of international financial management. The growth of multinational firms, globalization and international asset management have made cross-border complexities an essential consideration in finance. Students will gain an understanding of the fundamental concepts and tools necessary to evaluate investments and risks in an international context. This course will be particularly useful for students intending to be involved in cross-border investment and financing decisions within multinational firms, investment banks, asset management, etc.
